One of the top emerging trends in TV’s are 3D TV’s. These televisions are just hitting the market and as is typical with cutting edge technology, their pricing is pretty outrageous. Manytechnology experts are betting on 3D HDTV’s to really break out in 2011.
Top HDTV manufacturers including LG, Sony, Samsung and others are producing or have announced 3D TV’s ranging in size from 42 inches up to 72-inches. Many well-known manufacturers are gearing up for the new wave of HDTV viewing, 3D enabled HDTV. Sony Electronics is even predicting that a full half of HDTV sales will be 3D TV’s by 2012.
As with most new technologies, 3D HDTV’s will likely be out of most people’s price range for some time. In addition, many experts predict that 3D viewing glasses will be a separate purchase and could be priced in the range of $200 or more per pair. Outfitting a large family could be a significant cost.
Although they may be pricey at firsts 3D HDTV’s may revolutionize TV, movies and video games. Just like the introduction of color to television viewing 3D television will be a completely different experience 10 years from now and video games may indeed be totally revolutionized.
